First ride in ~20 years

Post #1 by robin1731 » Fri Nov 22, 2019 3:39 pm

Bought this barn find about a month ago. Slowly working on it when other jobs give me time. Got it running yesterday and took it up and down my lane a few times today. Runs pretty good for a small bike. I'll let you guys guess what it is.
some already know and some will get it easy.

Some pics of when I went to look at it too..

Ya a Honda 305 "dream". A real collectors item but was way cooler in those days than now. I used to be so envious when I had my 65 sport and 90cc after that. Imagine having a whole 305 CC's, dual carbs and exhaust. My buddy just refurbed a CB77 305 superhawk for a local guy that owned it since day one. Cute but only to drive in parades.

Ok, some of you are close. It is a 1966 CA160. Sometimes called a baby dream. Two cylinder with a single carb. It does run pretty good and has decent power for it's size.

Some parts are hard to find. Can't get the "exact" replacement battery for them. Have to go with one that is close. New air filter can be found from Asia but I was able to clean the one on it.
