The difference between inner and outer spokes is the bend on the non threaded anchor end. One will have a 90 degree bend and the other one will be more than 90, maybe around a 105 degrees. On some wheels the length may be different too.

I just laced an old Triumph cone wheel, it had four different spokes. Right inner, rt outer, left inner and lft outer.

Just spoke (pardon pun.. Not intended) to a local bloke here in Perth. He will supply spokes and re-lace the wheel up for $350...Which I thought was reasonable.

So my Covid project 20/ 21 came completely disassembled, including the spokes removed from the hubs and rims.
Hadn't done any lacing since the one dirt bike that needed a new rim when I was 15.
That rim obviously didn't need to be all that straight or aligned.
I managed to get both wheels "close enough"

I bought several in that level of disassembly when I was a kid. Buy them for a 50 or a hundred and fix them up and sell them for 4 or 500. These were all small 100-125 cc off road bikes so no titles or niceties. Just a basic running 2 wheeler. Those were good times!! I think I turned 20 or more around before I left for the Navy.

I used to respoke my dirt bike wheels until I messed up one wheel and it cost me a first place finish so now I just send my wheels to Buchanan wheel and spoke they do a quick fantastic job at a great price

I may have missed it but has anyone confirmed if there is an offset on the front and rear wheels on a’75 GL? The drawing that was attached to previous post shows a difference side to side on the wheels but an offset is determined from the center of the hub to the center of the wheel hoop. I am under the impression that GL spoke wheels are zero offset, please correct me if I am wrong.
Thank You!

Octane shows measuring his off set on his rebuild here: https://ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... 681#p19255

Thank you for the link. (And Octane for the information) so from what I can tell there is no offset on either the front or the rear, the slight difference in measurement that he shows in the photos is within the allowable tolerance.
Correct?
Thanks!
