Hmm looks like a friction engine. Pretty slick. It would be cool to make a video of that thing wide open, in full leather gear and then an old man on a Schwinn casually pedals passed you.

Well, the thread is not complete without a photo of this thing and a Valkyrie posing in sort of a family gathering.

Oh, don't worry. I saw these guys at the Wauseon Ohio show...

...and I have IDEAS.

(Actual update- I'm probably getting wheels and tires done this weekend, then it's gonna be a stretch until I do anything else- would still love to powdercoat it, but that's automatically headed to the bottom of a decently long list of priorities.)
1997 Valkyrie- Light Cutomization, but Too Busy Riding
1980 KZ1300- Bike's Haunted
1976 GL1000 (Yellow)- It Runs (Poorly) and Doesn't Leak (Mostly)
1974 Velosolex 3800- Better Than Walking
1972 CB750- Broke the Chain And Ate the Motor
1969 CT90- The Most Fun You Can Have on 90ccs.
1965 CA77 Dream- Needs a Full Teardown, but Complete

All advice I give is only valid until an expert corrects me.

I’m kind of surprised it held the number one spot for as long as it did… after all, riding season is short in those parts I hear.

Although I have to say that your brother looks pretty smug riding that thing. And it motors along pretty quickly!

Man, my projects are a mess. Of the 5 projects I've got ongoing, rather than, you know, finish one then move on, I figure I'll just work on all of them equally and finish NOTHING!

In any case, my Solex is halfway to a classier set of shoes. The rear rim still needs spokes and straightened up a bit, but the front was good enough to get a new tire. After doing a pair of Trail 90s, tires (the little ones, at least) are starting to get almost... easy?
