CB750 question

#1

Post by robin1731 »

Anyone here happen to own a 1979 CB750L? I need a pic of where the fuse box is located. I have a bobber here that didn't have the stock fuse box on it but I am putting it back. A lot of the stock parts are gone. The box looks like it pushes onto two pins. Hopefully someone can help me out.

Robin, some of the early DOHC 900’s had the fuse panel up in the handle bar clamp area. That model I am not sure if it was the same.
Here is a picture of the 1979 CB 750L gauge area that could be a candidate

Just checked and yes the fuse panel is under the black cover where the top mount is for the bars in the picture. A wire extends down with a multi plug to connect into the wiring harness.

To bad someone bobbed that bike, as it was a 10th Anniversary edition of the iconic CB750 series from 1969!

Yeah, going by the length of the wires I knew it went some place away from the headlight. Thanks for that. I'll need to fab up something. When the bike came they had the fuse wires cut and had newer style fuses added. All inside the head light assembly. But had the same color wires going to everything. And he said it would randomly pop fuses.

I put in every new harness I could get through the aftermarket. It all seems ok now. action1

This thing has cafe bars on it so I don't think the stock pieces will fit as designed.

79 CBX also has fuse box up there. Kinda handy actually.

LOL, I've had worse in here. I am actually making a lot of it better. Just because I can't stand to leave it as is. Little things like some brackets and small tweaks here an there to make it nicer than it was.

If Dime City would keep carb rebuild kits in stock better I would have it done by Thanksgiving. ;)

Besides, I could have said no. lolol lolol anim-cheers1
