You can use MS Paint to size the pic down to 1024 pixels wide. Open it in Paint, select Attributes from the Image menu.
Or download PhotoFiltre and use it to crop and size your pictures. It's free.

Insurance is a payment to cover you in case something disastrous happens if you don't.
Belt change is a payment to cover you as it will happen if you don't.

Re: New2U Bike? Read Me.
Yep, replace 'em. They're cheap.
Check your water pump while you're in there and replace the radiator hoses and thermostat. Short of the water pump, the parts for belts, hoses and stat shouldn't be more than about $60 at NAPA.

Re: New2U Bike? Read Me.
Very useful info here.
I'm going to try the starting tips for a laid up GL...hadn't seen that in such detail before, but will give it a try before pulling my old 77 out for the new year.
Thanks!

That's an excellent plan, Walt.
And replace those belts if it's been laid up for a while.
Where are you located? I could not find Helots on the map.

I've finally gotten around to updating the original post in this thread. Links updated and typos fixed.
Please have a read through it and let me know what's missing.
