New Project: no name (yet)

#1

Post by 4wheelfurry »

First post here although I've been immersed in reading! I'm not new to bikes or building them but I've been wanting to attempt a off beat bike for some time and discovered wings! I have a few good leads on some 1200s and before to much longer I'll have one.
I currently own a Guzzi and have had many many in the past.

So my plan is to build a cross of sorts between a cafe and a sport (GL Cafe Sport) with a monoshock, Val tank and a sport bike type tail. Copper frame with cast iron matte paint on the body and blacked out drivetrain. I welcome oppinions on my choices of the direction I want to go..

I robbed a pic from here and edited to show my eventral end result. Stay tuned and I'll update the thread as my build begins:

A nice start to a 1200 with mono shock was just sold.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Going through my old posts, I did eventually do my long planned build! I ended up with a 77 GL1000 because I wanted the wire wheels. But a lot of my original vision did make it through to the end. I'm really pleased with what I ended up with. Build is in the customizing section "77 GL1000 Full Custom Build"
