I like the bike and your sense of humor.
I need to remember to keep my expectations tiny so I don't end up so whiny.

I entered hoping for some opinions on the bike, 2 hrs into the afternoon, I was feeling pretty confident - I mean the only competition was a 1978 kz750 that was sprayed that morning with flat black primer (over the chrome etc.). Didn't realize it was entered by the head judges' kid... But when they handed me the 2nd place trophy with the painters tape... I was moved to tears... of laughter! Got a neat tee shirt though and met some cool people for a $20 entrance fee.

My goal with this project was around $1000 total. 2 winters of watching and bidding on ebay got me some great finds, some friends found some other stuff but still new tires, battery etc added up to $1750+/- so far. Still need to get dash lights in the speedo/tach, figure out a safe passenger seat (my wife grabbed on much tighter the 1st try) and sync the carbs. I'd like the look of a custom tank/shell and I'm still thinking the windshield doesn't quite look right. I might try a couple inches wider and see how it balances out... my favorite view of the bike is that rear 1/4 shot above.

With the short shocks it rides really stiff, at 57 I feel it, but I get on it before either of my other bikes. I smile EVERY time I ride... Lots of looks, H/D riders always wave, Wingers not so much... If they only knew!
