Hi All
I have been checking out this site for a few months now and have found a lot of useful information.
Seems like a good bunch. I have been riding GW's since 1982 when I bought my first Interstate . Last year when the 40th anniversary edition came out I half jokingly said to my nephew that it would be very cool to have the first year GL 1000.
It didn't take him long to find one on in internet machine. So we went to look at it. It was in rough shape but I took a chance and brought her home. It has been sitting in my garage for over a year. I still don't know if it runs. I have since bought another 75 that was in riding condition. I also bought another 76 from a friend. I have an 84 Interstate that has been parked since I bought the 2007. My plan is to get the first 75 and do a frame up restoration. I have some mechanical skills and the the help of this site hope to have it running in a few years. No rush as I do have another 75 that I can ride along with the 2007. Sorry No pics yet.
