New Ohio member
Hi all, just a quick introduction. I remember the first new Gold Wing that I ever laid eyes on- what a beauty. The fella that bought it was a good friend of my family and was also responsible for my lifelong motorcycle journey through life. He also was a partner in the local HD dealership, so it was a bit of a shock that he had bought the first one in the area. I was racing dirt bikes and dirt was my preference at the time and for many years after. Not many street bikes for me (only a RD350) until 2006 when I bought a new ST1300 and piled on 50k miles in 2 years. That bike started a new addition and even less space in the garage. I am still actively riding dual sports and some off-road although all of my old riding buddies have retired.
Now for the newest chapter, still loved the looks of the 1st gen wing and had a fella from work ask me if I would be interested in getting a 1976 running for his father as he couldn't ride anymore and wanted to sell. Guess I don't need to tell you how that worked out Anyway I want to put this bike to visual stock and will have a lot of questions that I am hoping for guidance from folks that have already traveled this road. This bike is basically stock - windshield and grips and such being the exception. Paint and chrome is very nice but I would like some guidance on things like proper finishes on things like forks and engines etc.
Anyway, I am excited to be here and will be anxious to ride her this summer Thanks Howard

I liked the yellow one but this one is the red. Paint is original and I think it will clean up decent.
