New member from The Netherlands
Hello, I recently bought my first Goldwing, a GL1000 LTD, so I thought it would be fun to register on this forum as well.
I am Nick, 21 years old, live in The Netherlands and I am a huge fan of classic Honda's.
I've had quite a few bikes already, most of them were Honda's. A quick peek at my old bikes:
I started off with a Honda CBR125R, due to license restrictions in the Netherlands.
Within a couple of months I bought 2 Honda CM400T's, one of which I built into a bobber.
Then after those 2 I bought my dreambike, a Honda CB400f from '79. I still own this one, and probably wont sell this one any time soon.
I've also had a Suzuki GSX400f for a short while, which I never got running properly. I bought it hoping I could get it back alive, but only got 3 out of the 4 cilinders running.. That was a dead end for me.
Then I got myself a Honda CB1, because I didn't want the classic cb to be my only bike. But after a couple of months I found out I was more of a classic biker.
Then bought a Yamaha Virago 535 V-twin with my dad to build a bobber again, and after that I bought another CB400f. This one was to restore, I bought it as quite an ugly duck, got it back to it's former glory.
After the restoration I sold that one, took all of my savings and bought my first Goldwing, a GL1000 Ltd. I bought it after it was stored in a shed for over 10 years, so it was quite a project.. The plan was to get it restored over the winter, in order to spread the costs a bit.
But since I wanted a bike to get me through the winter I also bought a Suzuki GSX400f again, always liked the gsx. Unfortunately I had to sell that bike after only 2 weeks since my car broke down.. Had to sell the suzuki in order to buy a new car.
But back to the Goldwing, I brought it to a Goldwing specialist in Holland who would restore the bike for me. And after only 2,5 months I got the bike back. So as soon as the wintertime is over I can start enjoying my new bike. The only thing I still have to replace is the exhaust, but because of the costs of those, that will take a bit more time.. For now the BSM exhausts are good enough.

Re: New member from The Netherlands
Hi Nick, welcome to the club from the UK. Two lovely classic bikes. Was the Goldwing specialist Biker's Best Renswoude? I only ask as I have bought parts from them (and CMSNL).
Previous Rides,
1980 CB250N Good to learn on
1981 CX500 good mid range tourer, went to Austria on it!
1983 GL1100C Pride and joy, sold when I bought my 1st house, big mistake
1985 GL650 Silverwing another mistake, horrible bike
1986 CBX550 Good commuter
1989 Suzuki GS750 (1976) cheap and cheerful until a dog ran out in front of me on Xmas Eve, 1991
Current bikes
2010 CB1300 back on a bike after 19 years, two divorces, children grown up etc
1980 GL1100 NOW ON THE ROAD, still use CB1300.

Welcome aboard! Lots of great riding in the NL. I wished I hadn't sold my bike right before I moved there.
