Hello from the desert SW - USA

#1

Post by BarnRat »

Hello. I'm an old guy, almost 70, and I've been riding bikes for 50 years. I've had 52 bikes over those years, mostly Japanese, a few American bikes, a few Italian bikes, and a few German bikes. I've never had a GoldWing but I did have a 1998 Valkyre. I'm looking to purchase an older pre-1985 naked GoldWing. It looks like this may be the place to be . . . :-D

Thanks.

To anyone: Is 1984 the last naked GoldWing? And is it the only naked bike with the 1200 motor?

Thanks for the welcome.

Not close neighbors -- maybe 120 miles apart. I live SE of Tucson.

A little cooler here -- only 103. I ride all year round but in the summer I start my rides between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM -- usually back home before it gets too hot.

Thanks. I need to get a naked GoldWing in order to be a real member. :) I'm actively looking. I found a nice 1984 1200 GoldWing on Craigslist but it's almost a 3 hour drive one-way to go see/purchase.
