New owner Central Coast Ca

#1

Post by verk182 »

I just picked up a 1976 Gl1000 LTD in nice condition. First time owning a wing and couldn't be happier. Glad to find a forum like this as I am sure I will have many questions.

I would like to find a backrest with luggage rack if anyone can point me in the right direction. Haven't had much luck searching.

Welcome from St Louis. A backrest/rack from many of the same era Honda models will fit. I use one from a 1973 CB500F. Bike looks like it's in great shape.

I am in Solvang, small town about 20 miles north of Santa Barbara.
The PO is a great guy, can tell he enjoys these bikes and really gave me a ton of info on them. He had two of the GL1000 and decided to let this one go.

That is a nice LTD. I've also swung through Solvang on two separate occasions. I feel badly for you given the lack of decent scenery and roads for riding motorcycles in your area.

Of course I am joking. I can't think of many areas that could top it. Welcome to the site!

That is one pretty LTD. Looks to be a great find. If I may, I would suggest putting a fork brace on her. Not a cheap add-on, but well worth the money. IMHO
