The seat is the original '84 standard. I trimmed the pan, fabbed the mounting hardware, and then had an auto interior trim shop sculpt, reconfigure, restitch the foam and stock seat cover. It might just be the only solo '84 saddle in the world with the stock Honda logo embossed on the rear.Old Fogey wrote:Well, look on the bright side. At least you don't have a mountain of plastic to remove first! (not much consolation, I know )
Nice bike, it will be worth the effort.
What model is that saddle off? I'm thinking along something like that for my 1000, as the standard Honda plank is not good for my spine problems.

That's what I thought too. If so, he did one heck of a good job bobbing that seat!Lucien Harpress wrote:Don't want to speak for the original poster (so correct me if I'm wrong), but it looks like the stock 1200 seat with the passenger section cut off.

Nice! Just found NGW myself. Like the blacked chrome! Where did you get the rear rack? I took some KG bags off mine and the "rear bumper" is gone because of the installation of the luggage years ago...
