Hello from Texas
Checking in from South Texas. I recently purchased a 75 GL1000 which is my first Goldwing. According to the PO, it was running until the PO parked it after hurricane Harvey a year ago. This will be my second project. My first was a 1980 CB750 that sat in pieces for 26 years. I am hoping to gain some useful knowledge and advice from this forum.

Welcome to the 'Wingdom.
Changing the timing belts should be high on your list.
Lots of good info in ShopTalk.

Yep most definitely. I've already read about the engine having the interference design so that's first.RAT wrote:Welcome to the 'Wingdom.

I'm going to pull the carbs tonight and start cleaning. The tank needs to be cleaned and the coils replaced since a dog chewed the spark plug wires on one side.
