Hello from sunny Eastern Washington!

#1

Post by Apocalypsox »

Hey everybody!

Turned onto this forum from a recent reddit post. Saw a naked wing, decided I needed a naked wing.

I'm a mechanical engineering student attending WSU-TC. I worked previously in the trades as a construction worker, then heavy diesel mechanic, and finally metal fabricator. Hobbies have always been internal combustion projects. My wing will be my first bike project. Hoping to use it both as a way to keep me sane between course work and as an engineering project that I can write a few reports about.

Picked up my 1981 GL1100 last weekend, already have a build thread started in the restoration section. As the EFI project continues, keep your eyes open for specialty threads covering the process. Eventually there will be turbocharging.

Thanks for having me! Here's a pic of Bertha as she sits today.

Welcome to the club from the UK. Looks like a good start to your project, do you have the headlight or is it something to find. You should also change the timing belts if you can't guarantee when they were last done. Any questions just ask and someone will be able to help.
