Hi All,
I'm new to the NGWClub. Just brought home my new to me 1983 GL1100. It was purchased from a guy who owned it for 6 years and had put a lot of work into it but never rode it. I wasn't expecting to be bring home a bike, but I didn't want to let this one get away! Wifey was at work so she found out when she got home.... Dog House for me...
Trying to figure out how to post photos at the moment.

Welcome from Wisconsin. I watched (and 'liked') your video. Looks and sounds like a good solid bike. There are a few things always suggested for a new 2 you wing, one being changing the timing belts, unless you know for certain that they have been changed recently. You can check out the 'new 2 you' thread about getting to know your bike from the link in my sig... Enjoy the ride!

Thank you for the welcome! Good news... Wifey likes the new GL1100! No more Doghouse for me. It helped that I only paid $1800 for it. With that said, it's not in exactly tip top shape. There are a few bugs to work out. I'm going to start a project thread to get some help.

I'm about 4.5 hrs away from you. Alexandria VA. I get down to Staunton every once in a while. I graduated from Bluefield College. I don't think that is too far away from you.

Bluefield is sort of close as the crow flies, but to drive there is another story! Our daughter (and grandsons) are in Alexandria.
