Hi,
New to the forum.
I don’t own a Goldwing despite liking them since I saw a GL1000 rusting away in the sun at my uncles farm 35 years ago.
I’ve always had a thought of stripping one down and have come across an ’85 Aspencade which may be the start I’m after.
I am after some ideas, info and photos (or steer me to the build threads and gallery) from anyone that has done the same.
I’d like to do this without cutting the frame so I can put it back to standard if needed.
Cheers.
Hi from Australia

Re: Hi from Australia
Welcome from San Angelo texas.
(Formerly from Michigan)
You are lucky, lots of help on this site. I know because as a new to MCs & GW in particular this site helped me take a pile of Narley partz and turning them into a running wonderful ride...77GL1000. I was 61 yrs old when I started.
These fellows have seen a thing or two.
And really know what they are about. Shop talk shall be your friend. If an arm chair warrior like me can do it so can you. It took me quite awhile to do this because I suffer from paralysis by analysis. But there are many I have observed that "get after it" pronto. After having been so uber cautious in my start, I now can move quickly and know my business. However, knowing I clumsy in mind spirit and body I try to go after repairs and upgrades carefully. When I rush am prone to stupid mistakes.
All the best to you.
BTW change your belts!
