Hello all. Long time cycle rider getting 82 GL1100 I in 3 weeks. previous bikes 2 Harleys, 2 Nortons, Zundap,750 Honda,450 Suzuki, 800 Suzuki, 1100 yamaha, 650 Dragstar from Germany. Currant 1100 yamaha and 650 Yamaha, getting wing in couple weeks. I go by Dave and am 72 yrs married.

Welcome from Wisconsin! I'm kind of partial to the 1100's myself. There's lots of info for new Wing owners in the 'new2me' thread linked in my signature. One thing you'll see a lot is the suggestion to change the timing belts, and there's good reasons, as it is an interference engine.
