Hello everyone. Greetings from Poland.

Hello everyone. I live in poland. Recently, I am the owner of the 1980 GL1100 INTERSTATE. The bike has a few damages but I have audited the head and generator repair and now I'm going to fix the front and rear suspension. In Poland, the motorcycle is not so popular and there is a problem with spare parts, so I wanted to ask if parts from another motorcycle can be used for the front suspension?
I hope you understood what I mean, because my English is not the best. I will be grateful for any advice. Greetings from Poland.

Welcome from Michigan USA. Your english is fine. Much better then my Polish. If you are only interested in making a good riding bike, the use of parts from other makes of bikes is done by many folks here. Myself included. Parts from newer bikes, if they work, can often be an improvement

I am very happy.
People say that Polish is difficult. As you can see, this is probably not true, since even I speak Polish

I have a question related to shock absorbers. In my country it is not possible to buy bushings for repairing shock absorbers.Do you know which motorcycle would fit such bushings? I have provided a link below so that you can see what I mean.

My thought is that if the bushings are wore out, so are the shocks. Especially if they were stock. I would replace the shocks. In ordering shocks consider the weight of the bike, your weight, and the type of riding you do. Many places sell replacement shocks.

Welcome to the 'Wingdom.

Lots of folk here have spare parts ... if you post what you need in the 'Wanted' forum you might get lucky although shipping might be an issue ...

Welcome from Wisconsin, USA. Here's a link to a parts list for the front forks. #10 and 11 are for the bushings. I have no idea if they ship internationally. The listing does include the Honda part number, which may allow you to do a web search for other suppliers...

Thank you very much for your interest in my problem and thank you for the quick answers. In Poland, I will certainly get the front suspension pipes, but when it comes to the bushings, this is already a problem. Sometimes the components are common to several motorcycles, that's why I asked about it because you have experience. If you have any advice for me regarding this bike, I would be very grateful for your help.

Welcome to wingdom.
I think your English is just fine. Also much better than my Polish. I know 3 or 4 words in Polska, but not enough for a conversation and some of the words are the bad words.
Best of luck on your project. Do not get discouraged and be patient as you learn new skills.
All the best to you.

The link that TrackT provided (parts fiche) also lists the motorcycles that use that same part #. That may help you in your search. Welcome to the forum.

Cześć Artur. If you go to the cmsnl.com website you can set up an account on there. You do not need to buy anything.
You will find all types of motorcycles on there, so just search for yours.

If you click it opens up a parts diagram and a parts list. On this list, if you can add this to your cart, then the part is available.
