Cheers from Ontario

Post by Carquestions »

New to the forum because I just bought an 84 standard. Had bought a new standard in 81 as an apprentice mechanic and loved it but sold it when I went back to school. Have had loads of bikes and cars over the years - from CT70's to VROD but the standard was always my favourite bike to ride. Anyway - I'm just in the process of taking off the aftermarket junk and returning it to dead stock as well as checking for past repairs and needed repairs. The bike starts and is charging well, not overheating etc and except for some minor rust on the front section of the exhaust shields is in very decent shape. One thing I'm curious about are production numbers. There seems to be scant information on the net regarding production numbers by model / year etc - this forum seems to have the most info but some of it is now gone -

Cheers!

Welcome to the 'Wingdom.

Most of that info is(or was) here somewhere.

One of our smarter folks will be along with help soon I hope.

If not, post your question in the General Motorcycle forum where there is more traffic.
