Still checking in

#1

Post by salukispeed »

For no reason but change of attitude I have been absent for a long time now but I check in occasionally . Just had a couple too many close encounters for my older reactions and came home a year ago and put everything at the curb except my 1966 CA77 ( 305 Dream ) and sold them all. I developed a huge amount of respect for so many here that I decided to Just pop in and say Howdy and Very best wishes to all. This group gas been good and helpful for so many including myself. Things are good over all But oddly after nearly 60 years of non stop riding I did not miss it all that terribly, so I will just Keep the 66 and ride it locally for kicks. If the moderator's need space they can boot me but I prefer to stay to check in occasionally and see a few names I recognize. Best wishes to all and be safe

Kinda wondered where you had disappeared too. You don't get to just 'leave' this cult! Don't let it happen again or ..........! :-D

Nice to hear from you again and at least you still have a Honda and a great one from the 60's; I would love to find the Super Sport version of that bike.
As I too enter the 7th decade, the time will also come for all of us to make a decision on continuing to ride or quit.
Current Bikes:

1966 CL77 - Honda 305cc - Dual purpose - "Gentleman's Scrambler" was a period moniker.
1967 CL175K0 - Low production number with #802 engine serial- winter 2019/2020 full restoration.
1972 CB350F - Baby Four with low mileage - Cosmetic refresh to the next level 2021/2022.
1978 CB550K - Very original bike with only 7499 Km. from new - light cleanup and refresh done.
1983 CB1100F - Canadian model - DOHC Supersport in pristine low kilometre condition from new.
1984 GL1200 - Standard model in showroom condition - two owner bike from new.
1984 CX650E - Restored summer 2017 - a rare Eurosport model - excellent one owner bike.
