Lurker, stepping out of the shadows.

Post by excildor »

Hi everyone.

I've been riding for about 10 years. A nice 81 CB650C that has been slowly getting closer to a cafe racer over the years. In that time, I started looking around the internet at other cafe racers. The first time I saw a naked Gold Wing I wanted one instantly. The boxer style motor is so different from the normal, and such a great center piece to a build. One day at work a lady from the office pops into my work area, "I heard you might be looking for a project". So now I own an 86 GL1200A that sat in a shed for 8-9 years, progress has been slow but I'm getting closer all the time. The posts here have been an amazing resource to help me get as far as I have. Thanks to all of you who share your knowledge.

I think I'm in a place with it now that it's worth sharing. Even if it just gives you something to chuckle at. It's a fun and also very frustrating project. I can't wait until I can start riding it.
