Hej from Sweden (Russia?)
Hello guys, and best regards from Sweden!
I got my 1977 GL1000 (exactly the same year as me!) in the beginning of May.
Unlike me, she spent all her life in Sweden, Stockholm.
I come from Russia originally and had many different motorcycles there, beginning with a Dnepr MT 10-36 with a sidecar to several Hondas (CB750 - CBR1000F - VTX1800), a Triumph Sprint 1050 and a Suzuki Intruder which was my first bike in Sweden.
Finally getting back to a Honda again!
It is nearly fully original and rolled only 55000 km when I bought her.
I use to drive it to different cafes round my village, so maybe a caferacer build soon?

Re: Hej from Sweden (Russia?)
That is a beautiful bike! So my thoughts are that you should not do anything to destroy anything stock and keep everything reversible if you do decide to go the cafe route. Try using other less desirable parts to do your custom work. That way if you do decide to part with her later the new owner can readily revert to the stock configuration. Just my 2 cents worth and maybe worth exactly that. You really have found a nice example of an older wing. Congrats.

Yes, that was my thought actually. A slight drop, drilled brake discs, clip-ons, a new seat and lights/blinkers.Jonesz wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 10:18 am That is a beautiful bike!
