Hello from Poland

#1

Post by resenok »

Hello,

Thanks for add to forum.

I bought my first Goldwing in February 2021 from Germany. From February to September, I restored it to the factory condition as much as I could. I bought and replaced a lot of parts from the USA and it looks like this today. I did everything myself, only the painting was ordered.

Welcome,
Very nice looking bike. I thought the 78-79 had a rectangle front brake reservoir.

Very nice restoration. I prefer them naked, perhaps with a luggage rack if they are a daily driver. Only '79 had the rectangular MC.

Paul
You are right the rectangle front brake reservoir + rectangle turn signal was in 1979 - model KZ my is 1978 with normal round brake fluid reservoir and turn signal. Carb number is 769A - only in 1978 year was installing.

Make sure you tether the left side cover so you won't lose it while riding. They are known to come off.

I had family (on both sides) emigrate from Poland to the US two generations ago, and if I ever get the chance I would love to visit one day. Welcome to the party, and a gorgeous looking bike!
