New to Goldwings

#1

Post by Carlo »

Hello. Nice to be here.
I have a GL1200E with a California sidecar.
I have to confess that I only bought it because I always wanted a sidecar outfit, it was available for a great price, and had a documented maintenance history.
It wasn’t until I’d ridden it around for a couple of months that I began to appreciate how good Goldwings are.
Recent photo with Christmas lights added.

welcome to NGW, our first sidecar (1980) was a California car. The 1200 has plenty of power to drive a hack

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.
I’m loving this rig. I only rode one of my two-wheelers for the first time in three months last Sunday.
I have several friends with sidecars, all on older bikes, and they’re all jealous about how well my GW accelerates, and handles compared to theirs.
I hope to learn all I need to know about care and maintenance from you guys.

Oh, and the windscreen is a National Cycle PlexiStar2. Nice setup, undoubtedly easy to install, and I can testify it’s easy to adjust Height and angle.
