I am very late coming to the party but that is some next level work ..... humbling and inspiring ... thank you for sharing all your hard work with us and massive congrats on BOTM.

Push button release. Obviously I can’t lock it now, but that’s ok with me. The button dropped right into the existing hole no modifications necessary. Then it was just a matter of building the bracket for the pin, drilling one hole and making sure the gas cap cleared. I kinda like it, fits in with the other black touches. I might add a brown leather tab at the bottom of the lid that matches the seat, that’ll give me something to hang onto when opening now that I don’t have a key for grip


Where did you find this button? I have been looking for a while, but haven't been able to locate it.

Where did you find this button? I have been looking for a while, but haven't been able to locate it.


A buddy had ordered a few of them from eBay, not sure through who.

Here you go. I used one to repair the side panel on my wife's bike. One of the plastic mounting knobs was broken when I bought it.
