Well, the last few months have come and gone without me making much progress on the AstroWing project. I expected to have some free time Oct - Jan. That didn't happen.

My team Manger position with the IMSA Action Express Prototype race team is going well. We decided to also take on a AMA Flat track team. We have been busy building 2 Honda 450's for the Daytona races in March and 2 Kawasaki twin 650's bored and stroked to 750 for the bigger tracks. For the 750's we are building the bike frames in our shop. Our rider is Shayna Texter and the team name is Richie Morris Racing.

Please follow our progress in 2016.

I think about this Gold Wing project all the time, but it may be awhile before I get more done.

Please stand by.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Gary Nelson

I see a lot of that lately, like BMW " scramblers" with clip-ons. I have a 73 sohc that needs a motor, its probably going the scrambler or street tracker route. Keep up the good work,I'm paying close attention!

Gary, I hope you don't mind me posting your bio. I was reading your astrowing project
last night and took your advice to start following your switch from cars to dirt sliding bikes.
Glad you chose an old wing for your project.

Hello GoWing,

No problem, thank you.

We have made great progress on the IMSA Corvettes (Daytona 24 hours next weekend) and the AMA Honda 450's. (Daytona flat track in early March) The first big bike is still in the frame jig, we hope to be testing it late in Feb.

Hello Gord,
Thanks for asking. Storm was about normal, prediction was 12 inches of snow, we got about 2-3. I stayed inside except, I needed some handles for a cabinet. I had some leftover 1941 Ford door handles. A little cutting and welding, then back inside.

Hello Kev,
Thanks for following my AstroWing build. This website has been a great resource for me. Also a bunch of cool guys hang out here. Good luck with your project.

I did get a few minutes in my garage last Friday, made a table.
