Mine was an eBay special from China for less than $50. (Now $51) Dimensions: 150mm (5 3/4") x 87mm (3 3/8") x 145mm (5 3/4")

On my other bike I used a Ballistic 8 cell LiFePO4 battery. It is even smaller.

It's about $150 now. Being 13.6 volts, it spins it over easily.

Cleaned up the front wiring, shortened my cables down (Thanks to Hott for the write up). Once the cables were cut down took forever to get it all dialed in, trial and error of like 4 hours. On, off, on, off, now I can install cables like in 5 mins.

Need some help with the seat. Please feel free to weight in. It just isn't working for me. It looks to fat, plump and doesn't have the right flow. Here is what is what I am thinking:

1. The current stitching isn't helping, needs some shape. Maybe keep rolls on top and add side panels to help build shape? Like similar to the first generation GL1000 seat?
2. It is to tall. I can sacrifice some comfort and cut down the foam (I am use riding sport bikes and I don't ride for long trips). I like the before look of the seat with out the foam way better, see picture. Maybe if the seat guy cuts down the center of the seat foam so it follows the lines better. What do you think?
3. I designed the rear hoop to have a kick up, it gets lost in the foam, big deal or not?

I seem to always get to this point where I see it in my head, hard to get someone else to see it the same way. Most of the time I end up teaching myself...

Any thoughts on these as a look? Ignore the cafe hump ones, just the stitching and pattern.

I think you definitely need side panels to get rid of the michelin man look. Thinner would look better too.
Here is a quick photoshop..I didn't put side panels on it though.

You don't have a lot of room for shaving down the foam before you hit the bottom of the seat pan. It's your bike, but I think the seat looks good as is. If anything, maybe add some foam to the very front of the seat so it swoops up to the false tank, instead of dipping down in front of it. I think that will change the flow of the seat. Adding the side panels will certainly get rid of the "cushy pillow" look. I'd rock your seat as is, it's way nicer than mine haha

It's only my personal opinion, but I don't believe you will be able to shave that much foam off. I made my own seat pan out of fiberglass, and used very little foam and It still has a higher profile than I prefer. The oem seat pan like you have sits up off the frame and tank just a tad, so that's why I made my own pan. I tried to get it as low as possible. If you want any padding at all, you might as well keep what you have and add more padding to the front of the seat so that it flows with the tank better. Again, that's just my opinion. I think your seat looks great as-is. You're going to destroy your b*lls trying to make a lower profile seat. Use the art of perspective to get the look, and play around with fabric designs and stitching. You know what the ladies say... "stripes are thinning".

I think I'm running tube-less in the rear. The guy down the road ripped my brand new tube trying to install it so I just went without. Holds air just fine, not sure how bad it is to run without one but it's been a year without losing any air.
I like the style of that new tire. Is it wider?
