RE: the battery. If it turns the starter with some degree of momentum then it should be fine.

Working on a smaller battery and box. Here is what I came up with. The last picture is what the new side cover will be made of.

Progress. Weld all the corners and then round them out. Paint black.

I'm loving the idea for the battery tray, and it came out great. Personally I'm not crazy about the mesh covers you made, I think it looks great without any covers, but if you like it then that's what's important. Keep up the good work!

I like the mesh covers, as well as the lighter (unpainted) color. My 2 cents...

The lower tabs are in a different location so it is not a simple swap.

Update photos.
Clutch cable bar end popped off while I was riding, that was fun. Roadside fix with the torch. Good news was I was in the city and not on the highway.

Happened to me recently, not fun. Good that I live in the countryside, no traffic here. I came back home without using the clutch.
I've got 2 questions.
Was it easy to plug the gauge? Troubles with it?

I have the same mufflers but I took them down after a weekend trip. Too loud and I felt like the engine was running worse at the mid rpm. How do you like them?

The gauges were pretty easy to wire up. See previous posts for how I did it. Not to hard with the help NGW color coded wiring diagram.

The mufflers, I love them. I did buy some more packing to quiet them down a little, have yet to do it. Winter project. As far as performance I really didn't ride the bike before I tore it down so I don't have a base line to compare it to.

Just my opinion, but I think it would have a more aggressive profile if you lowered your headlight more so the bike looks more "hunched forward"... so the top of the headlight is even with the top of the faux tank.
