Thanks fellas anim-cheers1

I wet sanded then waxed the fender to keep it from oxidizing. I’m going to run it as is for a while before I decide on the final finish.

I think I have decided to paint the front fender gloss black to match the side covers...so I’ll be doing that in the next week or so. Trying to have it completely finished for the Distinguished Gentleman Ride in September.

Very nice.
Could we trade for a while? At least until you route out my electrical gremlin? Please?

I'm not sure my back could handle the 2400km ride down there and make the swap

Bike ended up getting posted on a few Instagram Cafe feeds this week and has so far racked up over 20,000 likes. Very surprised by that, people really seem to love these old wings

In the glove box of course, my usual hockey puck support has gone missing  This was just for the photos, although I have been trying to find a suitable longer kick stand...haven't had much luck yet. A welder friend suggested we cut it and then use a sleeve to lengthen it an inch or so, but I haven't followed up since then
