Re: Customising my first Goldwing
I think I used 20 weight in my 82 Andy.
I weigh about 175lbs and the bike feels good and firm. However it is not a soft ride.

The Progressives are a little firmer than stock .... so thicker fluid usually isn't required ....

I asked cos I couldn't find what weight fork oil to use. ATF isn't really a thing here in the UK and the info I found said 10 - 20w fork oilSagebrush wrote:I used the recommended ATF fluid. Worked fine.

Re: Customising my first Goldwing
I pick up some correct size forks to replace the antidote forks from my GL1100 Interstate, They are from an 80s CB900. The fork oil in the GL should be 220ml and the fork oil in the CB900 should be 280ml so which should i fill for?

Re: Customising my first Goldwing
So, just a slight clarification, are you using complete forks from a CB900, or just parts of them to remove the anti dive feature of your original forks?UK_Andy wrote:I pick up some correct size forks to replace the antidote forks from my GL1100 Interstate, They are from an 80s CB900. Re: Customising my first Goldwing
If using the complete 900 setup, then I would imagine you would fill them to 900 spec.UK_Andy wrote:I'm using the complete cb900 forks, sanctions and brakes.wingrider wrote:So, just a slight clarification, are you using complete forks from a CB900, or just parts of them to remove the anti dive feature of your original forks?UK_Andy wrote:I pick up some correct size forks to replace the antidote forks from my GL1100 Interstate, They are from an 80s CB900.
