That's crazy.
I would have gone for something similar if I didn't intend to ride with my girlfriend from time o time.
Great job!

I have left the rear long enough and with enough padding for a pillion. I had my partner sit on it before hand. Its not built for long distance but it'll be ok for a trip to the coast or day out.

Andy, that looks the bollocks!

(you may note that is an English slang phrase for very, very good!) Oxted trimming might just be on my list...

Found this great site to help choose the paint

http://rgb.to

Basicaly I took the pic of my bike into photoshop and used the eyedropper to pick the colour of the seat, then put the variables into this site and it tells me the opposite colour to my brown

Im looking for a bit of advice regarding oil.
Should I stay with a full mineral oil or change to a semi-synthetic?
Itll be 10W-40 for all year round here in the UK

I don't know what you can get in the UK, but by chance, can you get Rotella T-6? It is in a blue bottle, and is a Diesel engine oil that is a full synthetic. I run it in all my bikes and vehicles for that matter, and at least my bikes like it. :)

Either the Rotella or a dedicated motorcycle oil. That is what you need. Regular or synthetic is up to you. They will both work fine.

That is a gorgeous seat! I had a similar vision for mine, and love how you shortened the rear fender. Have you thought about having a back rest that could possibly attach and detach when needed for a partner to ride with??

Thanks

The rear guard is the bit that unbolts from the GL1100 to allow removal of the wheel.

No backrest on this, shell just have to hold on.
