Here it is:

Has a nice finish, made of ABS plastic like some canoes. I'm happy with it, especially for the price.

Kevin,
Been reading through the whole thread, great looking bike, clever build. I cant find where you changed out the bars from the high, pull back stockers to the slight lower black ones you seem to have settled on. If you don't mind me asking, what's the height of the rise on them, and how wide are they?

cheers

Dean,
Thank you for the compliments, I built this strictly for my own taste.

I left out details like that, sorry. I shortened and straightened the original bars myself with cut/weld. Then I decided they were too low and raised them. (I'm weird like that.)
I'll measure them and let you know.

BTW- Small world, my sister lives in McKinney.

Dean, I'm very sorry, but I completely forgot about measuring my bars.

Back to work on my bike after months off a horrible winter, ill family members and my own personal issues.......

First things first, get this shop warmed up. It may be spring outside, but this concrete floor holds those temperatures from mid-January.
So I welded up a small grate to hold coal in my woodstove.

Now the shop is warm, back to bike work.

Yesterday, Saturday, I finally tackled the job of changing my timing belts.
I've never changed any, but I followed the directions from Octane in Shop-talk. Went well. Easier than I thought. Haven't started the engine yet, but I turned it over with the wrench a couple dozen times, marks all line up.
BTW- I'm just curious, but after all this talk about needing a 12mm wrench with a strong off-set to turn the motor. Why not just use a standard 12mm socket and ratchet?. Fits PERFECTLY with plenty of room. Also, with the ratchet, once you set it to turn clockwise, it may help you to not inadvertently turn that bolt the wrong direction.

Old belts had a ridiculous amount of slack in them, springs on adjusters weren't even pulling against the belts.
They were Honda belts, possibly original!? I hope they weren't. They are in good shape though.

Something a little strange, but the photo makes that cam pulley look like it's orange with rust, not the case at all, weird.

I was also happy to see that.
Pulled my valve covers and it was nice looking inside there too.

I just adjusted the valves, only had to actually adjust one of them. I was pleased with how it looked in there.
