Wow, I put the radiator, fan, fan shroud...... I've seen where many of you have complained about lack of space to accomplish this.
If the front wheel and fender were not in the way, that would be much easier.

After mounting fan to radiator, there isn't enough room to install. If I install just radiator without fan, no room for the fan to be added later. Then of course there's that lower hose that needs to attach as the rad is going on......
So even though I'm in my fifties, I called my daddy. He was happy to help and the extra two hands were fantastic.

There are two pieces of steel that bolt over the top and bottom of the rad and they in turn have two threaded studs each to hold the radiator guard. Both of these pieces and the guard were rusty. I blasted all 3 pieces in my cabinet, then primed and painted satin black.
All of this is back in place where they should be.

Speaking of radiator guard, it is bulged out in the center. Does that bulge stick in towards the rad or out towards the fender? (It will work either way, but it wasn't on the bike when I bought it, so I'm not sure.)

I removed the rear brake caliper to install new breaker pads. Those stainless steel pins that hold the pads in were corroded just enough to make it difficult to get them out. I tapped them out with a punch and hammer. I cleaned and polished them on the wire wheel, much better now.

If you're talking about the wire mesh type stone guard, the 'bulge' goes inward...

To have easy access to get the headers off and back on, I had removed my saddle bags., While the bags were off, it was a perfect time to replace the brake pads on the rear.
The caliper came off easy enough, replaced those pads tonight, everything is back together. Torque wrench was used on the two caliper bolts. BTW- I've changed a lot of brake pads in my day, I like the design of these Honda calipers.
When installing the screen/rock guard over the radiator, I was missing the nuts because this rock guard was in a box of spare parts when I bought it. So, because I had to run down the road to the local farm supply to get them, I figured I get fancy little acorn nuts. Even in a rural, tiny town in Maine, they had stainless, Metric, 6mm X 1 pitch, acorn nuts.

Now, if someone only had the wing extensions for the sides of the radiator they'd sell me.....

She's all back together and remains a work in progress. I still have a long list of "want-to-do" mini projects.
I must change the angle of the seat, after I recover it in leather. Building a rear rack, changing angle of fairing, new tail lights, etc.

I'm smelling anti freeze whenever I ride it. I have looked every where. Radiator, cross-over pipes, both hoses, thermostat housing, over flow tubing and jug, water pump housing, etc., etc...

I went out in the dark last night, took it for a ride to get it good and warm, then watched all possible locations with a flashlight hoping to see steam, mist, yada-yada. No luck.
