Re: My naked MAINE-WING build.
I'm trying to up the game...
I'm making the welding table, very handy item, still a work in progress, but today it's an aluminum cleaning/sanding/polishing table.

The 2 x 8 is bolted to the table, cover screwed to the wood.
This is looking better already, but a ways to go.

Wire wheel on the right angled grinder. Normally I think it would be too aggressive, but these belt covers are rough, terrible shape.5speed wrote:what a great idea screwing it down..ya I'm stealing that.

After the wire wheel I blasted them with 70 grit aluminum oxide.
I then degreased with DuPont paint prep and gave them 3 light coats of self-etching primer. Also 3 coats of engine enamel and they're currently hanging above the wood stove getting a baked finish.

Thank you, I really wanted to give a "semi-polish," but they were in bad shape.duke182 wrote:Nice work. Those covers turned out looking good.

Re: My naked MAINE-WING build.
Thanks Man, I'm loving that little table. I've been needing a steel table, makes it so nice to weld when one can just put the ground clamp on the table and not the piece you're actually welding on.gltriker wrote: nice multi-use table!
