JR, what are the brake and clutch masters off? Interesting shape.

Re: This one is going to BLOW your mind!
My primary supplier is Waytek in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Even though they're a couple of states away, I can have items shipped to me at a lesser cost than going to a supplier right here in town.Track T 2411 wrote:Yum! When my local supplier jumped the price of one of the most common terminals that I use to $0.44 each, Waytek was at $0.12. And when I buy them by the thousands, that's a HUGE difference.
See here:

BTW, I found that I can spec the items I need faster from their paper catalog. Nice folks to work with.

No mirror mount if that's a concern but, mirror mount half clamps are available in the aftermarket.CBX-tras wrote:CBX-tras wrote:Kawasaki 1400 Concour from 2009 to 2014. Wow, awesome work. Is the front end off a different bike? Just wondering how you managed the floating rotors.

The front suspension is a collage of parts, legs are CB900F, lower triple is CB1100F, upper triple is from a ProLink CBX, springs and emulators are from Racetech, calipers are 4 piston progressive (2 different size pistons) Brembo held on via Metalgear Works brackets and the 320mm rotors are from SunStar in Japan. They're made for some Suzuki (not available in the USA) but I re-machined the center and bolt pattern to attach to the Honda hub.Sugs wrote:Wow, awesome work. Is the front end off a different bike? Wheels were custom built for me by Buchanan in California.
The bars started out as clip-ons made in Japan (unknown mfg.) that I highly modified to achieve the fit/function I was looking for. Front fender is from a Yamaha FZ6R, the rear fender I sectioned from stock, bobbed about 6 to 7 inches.

19mm is too big for the dual piston 1100 calipers I'm running. Ah well.

Not true. Just less effort.Old Fogey wrote:19mm is too big for the dual piston 1100 calipers I'm running. Ah well.
Works like one finger power brakes. Here's a photo of the first bike I did using that m/c, years ago. Same calipers as the 1100, stock rotors. The results will amaze you.

Doh! OK then, not something I'm going to attempt. Some serious parts research, modding and fitting there. How about the rear shocks?CBX-tras wrote: The front suspension is a collage of parts, legs are CB900F, lower triple is CB1100F, upper triple is from a ProLink CBX, springs and emulators are from Racetech, calipers are 4 piston progressive (2 different size pistons) Brembo held on via Metalgear Works brackets and the 320mm rotors are from SunStar in Japan. I did notice the bars, not something I've ever seen, pretty trick.
And maybe its just the picture, but the headlight seems a little high and out there. You planning on tucking it in a little, more like the bike in your avatar?
