This was our second trip there with the bikes and I strongly recommend it as a destination (Spring or Fall) whether you are on a bike or just a car. Some of the most beautiful roads anywhere and so little traffic that you are almost alone most of the time.
Hi Easter,
I've been to BB many times by car and by back pack, I highly recommend it. On my bucket list is to ride around BB and the Chisos on my GW. I am looking to "immigrate" to Texas in the next year or so in fact. I was born there but have been in Yankee land for too long. Your build is top notch, I especially like your gold valve covers.

Take care,

Hey Easter!
Haven't been on the forum much lately, but real glad I popped in to see the start of this build - looking awesome already action1
Did you fab your own headers ?
Nice touch with the headlight ears, think it'll set the headlight at just the right spot.

Thanks all
I think those headers are from a 1200,and already modified. Chrome is about 8 also. They were included with a batch of parts.
Spent last evening and much of today cleaning and painting brake parts. Will need kits but looks like the pistons and pads are useable.
Been thinking about fenders, I like the clean look of the bike as it stands but am not after a bobber,so what to do?
I have a front fender from an 82 cb750 that just might work. Narrower than stock and with a simple adapter block fits tightly to the tire. My plan is to sandblast the chrome and paint.

Havent settled on anything for the back end yet.

Here is a shot with the CB750 fender mounted and a shot of the adapter. Was looking at the wiring harness (actually I have three) with their broken connectors and masses of bullet connectors and started thinking seriously about the motogadget M-unit sunnbobb installed in his bike. The complete kit is over $500 !! and that doesn't include replacing any of the electronic components---but why not? It's only money and I think I have a buyer for my CB900f.

Oh, and I have settled on a name for this bike (Dumpster Girl just didn't sound right) so I will call her "Goldie" (get it?) :joker
