Chrome Fender

#1

Post by stephenricci »

Hi, and happy Father's Day! Looking for some advise. I am thinking about putting a chrome from fender on my Naked 83. I was looking at a fender from a CB900. My question are will it fit? Is there an issue with the front fork brace on the 83? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

Basically the lower fork legs are the same as an 1100F which also has a built-in fork brace.
Attachment bosses are the same spacing.
I'd try it and if need be, elongate the mounting holes on the fender to allow attachment and provide adequate clearance under the brace.

CBX-tras, thanks for the quick reply! It looked to me that it would fit but your reply confirms that. I may just give it a go.

Thanks again,
Steve

I put a chrome fender from an '81 CB900 Custom on my '78. I'm also running a Markland fork brace. I would bet it'd work for yours.

Nice Naked and thank you very much for the picture. That is how I imagined it would look. Should not be an issue that the 83 has a 18" front tire. I believe the 80 and 81 both had 19" and I believe they use the same front fender. I have already order a good one from eBay.
