Re: Swissitalian 1200 custom bike
Actually, I wanted such pipes ...but unfortunately I did not find anything. That's why I opted for heating pipes, which I was also able to construct myself. I also had variations with tubes under the seat. But would have had to make two radiator pipes and connect with hoses. Would have gone too. In my projekt, I left the space above the rear wheel free as I promised my children a seat. And since probably the gas tank will be very small, just for daytrip, I need for longer trips at thise place a nice removable additional tank.

I also pursued a variant to convert the engine to air-cooled one.

When I looked at this setup, my first thought was using small diameter flexible copper coils between the main pipes to increase surface area...DonGold wrote:20180510_161145.jpg

Thanks, good idea. I will assemble everything and observe the temperatures before and after the new tube radiator and I'm curious. Adjustments are for sure. Unfortunately, I have little time to continue working at the moment. "Unfortunately" it means also free rein for new ideas. I think, I will build a second or third Goldwing with the rejected ideas.

Why not buy this tube from Weiland?DonGold wrote:Actually, I wanted such pipes ...but unfortunately I did not find anything. I always thought that coiled pipes provided the greatest surface area to volume ratio...
just my 10 "sense" worth!

Re: Swissitalian 1200 custom bike
In the meantime I have been working on completely different projects. I've built a tiny hous and now I'm building a camper from a fire department truck. The GW stands in my living room and waits and waits. I would think that it will continue in January 2020.
