The tank in post 225 looks good and might even hold enough gas for the 20 miles or so you described early on. Not a very practical bike but looking cool.
Bikes at present:

83 XL 600r with a 2004 XR650L engine
And a slightly worse for the wear BMW GS adventure bike awaiting repair
83 GL in process :IDTS:

After at least another 5 controversial sheriff variations: here I am again, with the latest version and finally the desired free frontview to the engine. Let's see if it works....

Is that the gas tank or cooling system?

The water content is 20% more compared to the original radiator and copper conducts heat about 70% better than aluminum. The fan is eliminated, but the engine has more wind around it. I do not know what will happen in the traffic jam. And not even if it gets uncomfortably warm behind or boiled eggs.

Love the thinking there. Keep it up.
Remember... it's surface area not volume that cools.

The surface is a little lower for the new tubes than for the radiator, but I hope to compensate it with copper. Originally I had a simple minimum pipe construction, then I enlarged bit by bit the surface until the current construction. At the same time, it had to be taken into account that no air is trapped at an upper point. And also that the new radiator is removable.

what if you continued the pipes under the seat and installed a small rad on the frame above the rear tire mounted horizontally with a blower fan mounted on top of it?
something like this..with the inlet following the frame on the other side like the outlet..
A lot more surface area..

The idea of bike only whit tubing is great. No radiator no fearing no nono. Totally nude. I really hope u can find way to do it.
