I just showed my wife the pics of the bike gasified. She said I would be a great one.

Maybe you didn't look hard enough. Pictures, and videos of wood burning bikes have been posted in THIS set of posts

Found a bunch of videos on youtube about this, facinating stuff. Mad Max Fury Road comes to mind. Might have to start taking notes...

Nifty stuff- but I still keep thinking along the lines of steam operation, i.e. in a doomsday scenario, or otherwise. Maybe just the historical significance of steam in locomotion is distracting me, but it doesn't make this any less attractive. I'm in!

Interesting. I work at a plant that cooks down bark charcoal to carbon for filters.

I left my job in February and the Charwing has been put on hold for the time being. I've got an interview coming up, and am hoping to get back on track once I'm gainfully employed again.
Specialization is for insects.
