It's an x-grip ram ball phone holder. They have a few different handle bar mounts. Below is the link to a similar version . I have a slightly differant bar mount. If you do a search for it on the web or Amazon search they have a bunch of different versions.

That phone holder works great. It won't move, even at 70 mph on the highway with no bug shield. Worth every penny in my mind.

Epoxy painted the rear shocks tonight. It's meant for it but I'll be curious to see how it holds up.

I finally received and installed the new solo cafe seat from Vietnam. It took a while to be shipped but I'm pleased with the results. No I just need to fix the pesky tach gear oil seal, and paint the valve covers.

Rustoleum makes clear that is U-V resistant and they make it in Matte, semi gloss and gloss.. it works very well with their paint base colors, but I think that it wrinkles over some Majjic brand paint. The Matte dries pretty fast and is resistant to runs. If i want a higher gloss finish, i use the Matte to build up the paint and then wet sand it before applying the final coats.

I don't know if you are mixing different brands of paint, but be careful with applying clear over another brand of base coat---test it first! I did find that [[Duplicolor , i think] makes a clear coat for engines, so maybe that is the brand that you used on your forks??

The seat came from eBay. He has a bunch of styles and a web site you can order from also. Texavina in Vietnam

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-1979-Hond ... 0677.m4598

The headlight shell came with the bike. From looking at extras online it is not stock but maybe off a different wing? It was 7 inch light but had 2 holes one square hole in the middle and on circular hole in the bottom. Looks a bit bigger in the back end than stock. But it fit in stock light bracket.

Pretty sure you hit the nail on the head. I used rustoleum flat paint and vht clear satin for engines. I may have to look for the rustoleum clear. Thanks!

So how important is the h connector in the muffler? I could use a little bit mor noise. I think I’m going to slash the ends off and face it away from the bike instead of down just in front of the baffle and wrap the mufflers in black. But I don’t want to jack up the back pressure. Does it need to equalize?

There are a LOT of us who have dispensed with the "H" and haven't looked back. It's often said here that it's not the exhaust side that you need to worry about, it's the intake. Have fun with your exhaust - and don't worry about balance. It'll run fine with a separated system.

I cannot answer you question about the horseshoe section of the muffler only to state that other people here say that the intake [air cleaner and filter] is more important than the exhaust.

If you decide to get rid of the horse shoe section, save it as intact as possible because they are no longer made and a desired part by people here and other places.Check on the price before just pitching it out.

On edit, it looks like I paid no attention to Desertrefugee, but I guess I was posting the same time as he was--sorry

Awesome. Thanksboth of you! I won't cut it up. I may just get new slipons if i don't need the H. I have tried to not do anything that is not reversible.
