Well thanks but don't go overboard. I've been screwing with this bike for 5 years - mostly trying to make it reliable (not convinced yet). The restore (what I'm posting here) took about a year and I did none of the painting. That was done by my friend Peter Emhof who is a professional car restorer. I'm also retired so I have more time to mess with it than a working stiff.

I did not realize the time laps, but as far as me going overboard, take what you can get and run with it. Looks like a great build no matter. All the best. action1 action1 action1

I don't think you mentioned it has a built in "alarm" :IDTS:

I will. See the little red light button. It blinks and has the word alarm written under it.

Those are Saddlemen bags. I cut off the yoke and hard mounted them. I had an expensive pair of River Road bags that melted on the pipes using the throwover method.

I like it. The touches and paint capture the period of World War II. Great attention to detail. The only thing missing is a head light with a black out slit.

...and I think in this build, the typical weathering on the green gauge faces works very well with the theme. Perfect touch as is. While I'm in that neighborhood, I'll add a note of appreciation for the custom panel there, too. Well executed assembly.

I had a spare set of gauges with pristine faces. Didn't test them prior to taking the bike to bits but they painted up really nicely. Beautiful gauges. Put them on........tach didn't work. So talked Peter into painting the originals....with the wrinkled face plates.
