These pictures all remind me of Norman Rockwell paintings, would be interesting to know the process to make them.

There's no real process, but there's some guidelines:
- Very good, clear, crop-able pics are a must!
- Any photo editing software that will allow one to use "layers", "mask", "dodge and burn", and have general color/sharpness/light adjustments.
- A good imagination to visualize the scene (whether real or not) and then make it happen.
If you can bring the items above together then there's no limit to what you can create!!!!!

I've been dabbling in photoshop for years (mostly putting friends heads on other bodies, etc) but editing pictures like you do has escaped my abilities. I do need to upgrade my camera body..it's very much out dated.CrazyJerry wrote:Sugs,Sugs wrote:These pictures all remind me of Norman Rockwell paintings, would be interesting to know the process to make them.

I cannot consider myself qualified in any way to comment other than say WOW.
I can just about make a bracket and paint it, but I simply would not have the vision to dream up and make something like this.
I am in awe.

5speed, there was a time when I didn't have a camera but it didn't stop me from re-creating scenes as I remembered them - this was one of the things that was motivation to eventually get into extensive photo editing. Sketching a scene with paper and pencil helped a ton to get an overall basic layout, and then translating that digitally was quite a challenge. I did get a laugh out of your comment "(mostly putting friends heads on other bodies, etc)" - I've had many hours of joy doing that as well - lol!!5speed wrote:I've been dabbling in photoshop for years (mostly putting friends heads on other bodies, etc) but editing pictures like you do has escaped my abilities.
