CrazyJerry, I told you looks can be deceiving! I was going to be the weight guesser at the carnival, but I didn’t want to get slapped multiple times a day.

Wasn't ready for that one!

Dang! You are definitely getting some miles in the saddle. Hope all the hardware is staying where it should be. One thing’s for sure, that machine is made to ride and be seen. Certainly won’t see yourself out there on the road…
- Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass. It's about learning to ride in the rain.

desertrefugee - it's fairly rural up here so the miles can really add up quick and you really gotta act fast when the weather cooperates! Thanks for the suggestion/push to try a little grease between the leaf spring and the wear pad! It's really working out good so far!!

Thanks HOTT! If that tank holds up over the long-haul then it really opens up quite a few possibilities for the DIY crowd when it comes to creating a custom tank. So far it's rock solid!

5speed - That Factory Five 818 with it's TDI on biodiesel and the student team were right next to me at the 2015 Green Grand Prix - we both competed in the Exhibition class driving over 100 miles on Watkins Glen International Raceway.. The following link (on page 39 of the Centurion build thread) has pics with the student team and text as we got to ask questions, etc, about each other's car. It's not only a superb competition, but a very educational one too! : https://ecomodder.com/forum/showthread. ... post476843
Centurion's win in 2015 at 250.64 mpg still stands!

The folks over at "Living With Gravity - Adrenaline Culture" have just run "Bon Appetit" as one of the featured bikes in the "Custom" section. Many thanks to Akash Dolas from Living With Gravity for picking this story up and publishing it!

Yes, and it would appear this is just another way of expressing the phrase: "The project began last October and was finished the following July". When this came out in the article I thought it was a pretty creative way of labeling the timeline, and in much the same way as I wouldn't expect anyone to think that every fleeting moment of the 9 month time frame was spent on the bike. However - there were times during the project that used different phases of sleep to complete!

The bike is causing quite a stir where ever it lands:

Some odds and ends are still being wrapped up and the mileage is at about 1,450.
