That is what I was saying.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

I love it! Not only are you self-proclaimed crazy, Jerry, and not only are you a fearless embarker of projects, you're also a storyteller and an artist. For a second there, I could've sworn time stood still…
I'm really going to enjoy this one. Also love the still shot with the smoke curling out of the pipes.

Re: Who built this one? GL custom in Oklahoma
Quite a lot has happened since the last posting a week ago!
This GL1100 runs, but not good, so by process of elimination we need to find out why.
-
To begin, (as seen in the video following these pics) the engine was engaged via the starter and spark was observed with the spark plugs resting on the handlebars. No problems there so moving along....
-
The timing belt was correctly installed on the left side - pulley and case timing mark are good to go:
-
-
-
The timing belt was incorrectly installed on the right side - an entire tooth off. It's an easy mistake to make if you've ever experienced changing timing belts on these Goldwing engines (the timing gear on the left side can rotate on its own once the belt is removed due to the valve springs transmitting their energy through the rocker arms to the cam shaft lobes, and those lobe slopes under tension from the springs can allow an unanchored timing gear to spin). If the person who installed these belts wanted to, they easily could've corrected the problem (it's now corrected) but here's the pic of how far it was off, and for reference, the engine did start and run in an earlier video:
-
-
-
Doubt with all work from here on out is instilled when something like a timing belt is off a tooth, so next up the valve clearances were checked. The intake valves were all acceptable but all the exhaust valves were too tight (not within spec). Those have now been set to spec. There's also rust deposits in the pools of oil laying in the heads. Evidence of rust can be seen on the rocker arms:
-
-
-
The engine was warmed up and a compression test was performed on each cylinder. A very encouraging 155 psi straight across the board was noted:
-
-
-
The fun wouldn't be complete without performing a leak-down test on all cylinders. So first we find our top dead center on the cylinder we wish to test, then apply air and note what the gauge shows us. We also listen for the sound of air that may be escaping by the piston rings, valves, and then visually check the radiator for any evidence of bubbles by removing the cap and looking in at the coolant. This test went well and all cylinders were within about 2% of each other. No air bubbles noted in the coolant, and no hissing sounds from air escaping by the rings into the crankcase. The exhaust pipes and the intake plenum were also quiet so it appears the valves are sealing well.. This is looking better! The Pittsburgh Leak-Down Tester is adequate for this job:
-
-
-
-
-
With the engine not running well, it's probably a good hunch at this point that the carburetors need to be inspected - both inside and out. It was 15 degrees above zero at the time of these tests here in Colton, NY.
