Air filter update, Used a SU Carbs filter. The base covers the carb intake chamber and I fitted in air filter foam cut to size.
Ideal fitment and works just fine. May be of interest to others.

In Place. & Original prior to mesh removal and foam inserted

That is really a neat ride. Nice work.

Having some background frequenting the drag strip, seeing occasional carnage, and being paranoid by nature, if it were me, I'd heed some of the previous comments about u-joint stress. Yes, they'll allow these angles, but not sure they're designed for sustained operation there...(maybe they are, worth doing some checking).

If it were to let go, things could get unpleasant quickly. I would think that a subtle driveshaft loop to contain the shaft in case of failure could be incorporated such that you wouldn't even know it's there. The hardtail makes it even easier as the loop could be quite minimal.

Just my thoughts. A fun looking machine to be sure.
