Front forks replace to ohlins +brenbo advice

I have gl1978 and I want to replace the front fork with a Hollins front fork that came down from Ducati. Has anyone done this before? The shock is from the Ducati 1099 I received from a friend including brembo calipers (it will cost me more. . I found pictures of projects that did that. There is also a need for a solution for brake plates as they are not the same size advice ...?
