I just wasn't sure if the plan was to get there on the 23rd for a full day on the 24th.

You and your bride will be missed. Enjoy your reunion. Renew those old memories. We'll make new ones later.

When we did the math, it was an extra two plus weeks on the road and it made no sense to go to Sturgis and back AND then turn around and drive across the country.

Kind of a bummer as we have been able to be at all the previous ones. I still recall seeing this rat 1000 walking through Deadwood and wondering if it was a NGW member!

Lol. As a testimony to the ravages of time, I'd never try riding that rat across the west these days!

I just did a 400 mile day on my 78. And it was hot outside. But that's just me. Most people wouldn't be able to ride my 78 around the block

Doug, that's because the 78 is molded around your body. Fits you like a glove.

I may ride my 1975 GL1000 5016 to Deadwood for the get together. Not sure at this point but I would like to come. I live in Cheyenne which is about 5 hours away. Here is a link to the bike: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
