Yes. Our West Coast Coordinator is currently on the road but we can "pester" him next week about nailing it down. Last I knew he was thinking the same place or area as last years.

You guys doing these runs on naked 'wings? Makes it kinda tough. But, I'm all ears for a left coast scoot. (A buddy and I had planned one anyway). I was planning on taking the Valkyrie, though.

Just a heads up, I talked with sunnbobb the other day via Facebook, not sure he is able to put together a western region run this year. He has been super slammed with work and making plans for Bonneville in Aug. Anyone wanting to pull something together, contact a moderator.

Well I hope someone does volunteer to run the show. My wife and I and possibly 2 others are going to Kettle Falls regardless. From Seattle the ride is gorgeous and we've been looking forward to it for some time.

Terry make a proposal. You could head it up. It doesn't have to be a super complicated deal.

When are you going? It could be as random of a gathering as meeting there for a great time.

Well , ideally when all the kids are in school. If someone wants to put something together, we'd be there. Otherwise, we'd go when the weather was sure to be good. I looked at the web site for Kettle Falls group campground, which is waaaaay cool, and a lot of days are booked but there are still some consecutive days available.
There are several reasons I don't want to coordinate this: Arthritis and 2 joint replacements make sleeping on the ground a no-go so I'd be moteling it. I gave up riding in groups because most people ride too fast for me and I find it dangerous and unenjoyable so I'd be a total wet blanket there for day rides. And I would probably only stay 1 or 2 nights.
However, the ride to Kettle Falls is outstanding. The country around Kettle Falls is gorgeous and I really enjoy the getting-together, jawing, cracking a bottle of Jack Daniel's etc. when we all bunch up at the campground.
I appreciate to no end the effort Sunnbobb has put in on these get-togethers in the past and hope he'll pull this one together too. If not, we could do something impromptu but I don't know where or how to coordinate it.

So T...

What dates are available at the campground in question?

I'd say as far as coordinating - it could kinda happen as we go - no? Is that ok with all you NGW higher ups?

1. see who's interested in meeting up.
2. reserve the campground ( maybe do this asapish) - do they need a deposit?
3. meet in the morning for coffee/ breakfast or meet in the evening for dinner - or both. Bring your own or eat out. If could be after since some folks might want to cook some might want to eat out.
4. someone organize a ride - as in we are leaving at 9. - meet here, we'll be going there.
5. if you don't want to go on that ride - go on another ride.
6. Folks would need to cooperate/coordinate / communicate. Like the one big happy family that we are! dancr. Most all have cell phones/internet access presumably. People knows how to text right?

To put on the whole maryanne like SB has done multiple times is / looks like a lot of work and time. Labor of love I reckon. I can understand why he might not be interested.

I will do what I can - anybody else?
any other ideas?
1978GL1000 naked - kinda sadly gone. no bike at the moment.

Here's the site:
http://www.recreation.gov/camping/kettl ... rkId=74073
It looks like $55/night.
If you put in a date, you can see which dates are available with the left & right arrows.
